The OG of Mumbai Vada Pavs
If you thought Misal Pav was the real Mumbai Food, then you have no clue what you are missing. In the vast repertoire of Maharashtrian Cuisine, Vada Pav takes the center stage as a go to eat food.
Who wouldn't want to devour the
best Vada Pav in Mumbai? After all, this deep-fried beauty is wrapped in a
fluffy pav with the choicest spices, vada pav is best enjoyed when it’s piping
hot, especially in monsoons..
Thane has inherited the Vada Pav’s
from a bit different school of thought, it comes with unique condiments like
the popular besan chutney and mirchi thecha and salt fried green chillies
served in traditional style on a leaf.
My favorite is Gajanan Vada Pav at Naupada in Thane, that has been dishing out these spicy and perfectly fried Vadas for
almost 4 decades by now.
